Set in a quaint little villa on Putiki Road (runs parallel with the main road running through Ostend village), this cafe is new to Waiheke and already getting rave feedback.
It offers speciality teas and beautiful, locally famous ‘Island Coffee’. But the real jewels in the crown are the amazing array of beautifully crafted and interesting cakes.
It’s only open 4 days a week (Friday – Monday) from 930am to 3pm. So if you are on the Island then, it’d be rude not to visit :-). Just like the cakes it makes, the villa is sweet but small – so be prepared to squeeze in where you can. Or if the weather is kind, they have a small, uncovered back deck. And of course, as a last resort, you can always buy those morsels of yumminess ‘to go’.
We highly recommend The Annex – the experience will knock the wallet back a bit, but don’t forget to tell yourself it’s a treat and you’re worth it 🙂
